Introducing Animal flags: An easy way of administering and highlighting relevant information about your animals!

Creating animal flags

Animal flags can be created and edited in the "Settings" app. Two useful flags have already been created for you, containing some predefined logic:

• Sexed semen: This replaces the current way of marking animals to be bred with sexed semen and make sure you see the correct optimal insemination window.

• Do Not trim: This can be used if you want to mark that animals do not need to be trimmed anymore.

From here, you can create your own flags that match your on-farm protocols or needs. Simply give them a useful name, an abbreviation, that will be used in case of limited space, and a nice color so you can easily recognize them.

Please note: your custom created flags are purely informative and do not contain automatic logic.

Using animal flags

After you have some useful flags set up, animals can quickly be flagged from their cow card. To do this, click the pen icon behind their number and select the flags you wish to assign.

Once animals are flagged, the flags are shown in the animal overview. This list can now also be filtered on these flags so you can get a quick overview of all animals with a certain flag.

With animal flags, there are unlimited possibilities to mark animals with the information relevant for your specific on-farm protocols.
