Improved Heat Detection & More...
1. Tag notification work items
We have added new actions to the tag notification work items to improve your experience and make it easier to manage your tags. The following actions are now available:
Replace Tag: You can now replace a tag in case of issues such as "No data for 24 hours" or "insufficient data". Simply enter the new tag number and the tag will be added to the animal.
Link Animal or Remove from List: In case of an issue "no animal linked", you can now link a tag to an animal by adding the animal number and specifying the tag index, or remove the item from the list altogether. If the problem persists, a work item will be automatically recreated on the work list.
After any action is taken, the work item will be moved to the "Past Week" tab for easy tracking and reference.
2. Pen based corrections now available
Not all increased cow activity means they are in heat. External factors such as weather or hoof trimming can also cause false heats on the in-heat worklist.
To reduce these false heat detections, we introduced the pen-based correction. This feature uses the average activity values of the entire pen to adjust individual activity values, resulting in more accurate heat detection.
Note: This feature requires data from at least 50 animals. If a location has less than 50 animals, it will not be included in the correction process.
3. Clarification of Use and Colour of Tag Heats
We have noticed that the use of tag heats is not clear and the colour of stars associated with heat issues is not consistent. To address this, we have made some changes to clarify the use and colour of tag heats.
When an animal shows increased activity, it is considered as a heat from level 3, 4, or 5.
Heat scores are categorized by colour to show their relevance. Green indicates heats that are considered, while grey represents those that are not.
Level 1 and 2 heats are only considered as a heat if they have a positive user judgement. All heats, from level 1 to 5, that have a negative user judgement will not be considered.
We hope that these changes will provide more clarity on the use and colour of heats, and help you make better decisions regarding reproduction management.
What else we improved
You can now easily view animal details from the worklist and tag app. Simply click on an animal and a pop-up screen will appear, displaying all relevant information.
The Nedap Now branding has been updated to reflect our corporate brand style. With this change, the app's design and visual elements are now more consistent with other Nedap products.
Tag app: There are additional columns available for the All tag page. You can now view the Last seen timestamp column by default and have the option to add the Last seen at farm column.
