Improved Health Monitoring
Smarter Alerts with Pen-Based Correction
We’ve improved the model that detects significantly inactive cows, an important signal for possible health issues. Until now, alerts were based only on the individual cow’s behaviour. With this update, we’ve added pen correction: the system now also looks at the average inactivity of other cows in the same pen.
This means:
The system corrects for pen-wide changes in behaviour (like the weather or pen moves).
Fewer false alerts for cows that are not actually sick.
More focus and time for the cows that truly need attention.
Pen correction is applied when at least 20 cows in the same pen have valid data. It only reduces false alerts, it will never create extra ones. This update is automatically enabled for all users.
This improvement is especially useful for grazing farms, where group behaviour can change more dynamically due to outdoor conditions or shifting routines.
